Most of the time you fight spiders and animals, but eventually, bad guys will come and that is when things get really challenging. You have a meter that you will fill as you progress, beat bosses, and so on. For the most part, it plays like a side-scrolling platformer, but it does have RPG elements. The Legend of Ramboĭid you know that you are not allowed to review Rambo on the NES without mentioning that the gameplay is similar to Zelda II? Ok, all jokes aside that really is the best comparison for this game.
One thing I do like is the music, I found that this game has really fitting music. I do feel that they capture the look of the movie as well as they could. It is a rather early NES title and an early licensed NES title at that.
Visually, I do not think that this is a bad looking game.
